Project name: Upgrading of Approximately 9km of Roads in Mongu Municipality in Western Province Based on Integrated Construction Unit Method of Works
this project is located in downtown of the capital city of western province, Mongu. After variation of contract in the process of construction, total roads constructed are 13, reaching a distance of about 13km in all, with a revised contract sum of ZMK 213,401,581.35. Before construction there were only two hard surface roads in the town. These two existing roads, together with other new planned roads are contracted to the contractor and all the roads are upgraded/ constructed to bituminous standard roads with asphalt surface. Works involved in accordance with the design are widening and resurfacing the existing roads, setting out, road bed preparation, structural layers construction, priming coat, surfacing, and ancillary works.
